STAFF at Hansel’s Laundry Service are spinning with delight after they secured funds to purchase a new washing machine.
The service has received £9,500 from the National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by Lottery players.
Based within the charity’s Broadmeadows Estate in Symington, the Laundry Service operates as a social enterprise and provides employment to a number of people living with a learning disability.
It offers a range of valued services to community households as well as larger organisations including hotels and nursing homes.
Carol Montgomery, Head of Hansel 3e (Employment, Education & Enterprise), said, “We’re delighted that despite these challenging times we have been successful in securing funding and been able to continue to service customers following the Government’s safety guidelines.”
