Students living across South Ayrshire who speak other languages were praised for their success in learning English in 2016.
They were invited to a celebration at the John Pollock Centre, Ayr when their achievements in the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme were recognised.
The successful students were joined by practitioners who had supported them at a certificate presentation ceremony.
Learners were congratulated on their success by Councillor Margaret Toner, who was very impressed by their progress.
Students and staff prepared a great selection of delicious international dishes for the event, which is now a tradition and much loved part of their end of year celebrations.
Orsolya Dunn of the Skills Workshop group, added: “These events were a great success, enjoyed by students and community partners alike.
“A fitting tribute to a successful year of learning and teaching ESOL in South Ayrshire.”
