South Ayrshire police have recovered drugs with an estimated street value of £100,000.
Officers discovered a cannabis farm in a commerical property on York Street, Ayr, yesterday.
A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. He is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today (Friday, June, 12).
Yesterday, officers attending a residence on Lochlea Avenue, Troon, discovered Class B drugs.
A 52-year-old man was reported to the Procurator Fiscal over the matter.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, local area commander for South Ayrshire said: “We are committed to tackling drugs misuse in South Ayrshire.
“Our officers will continue to target those involved in the production, sale and use of controlled drugs and these seizures show that work is ongoing week after week to do so.
“I would ask that our communities continue to work with us and provide information around drugs misuse in your locality”.
