A PRESTWICK woman who featured in BBC show The Scheme is accused of committing a COVID-19 assault at a police station.

Kerry Tomlin, 37, allegedly grabbed a mask from the face of police support officer Michelle Fletcher at the office in Glasgow's Cathcart in April this year.

Prosecutors claim Tomlin said: "I hope she got my saliva on her face."

It is alleged that could have left Miss Fletcher liable to infection and illness.

Tomlin is said to have then attempted to bite Miss Fletcher on the hand.

She is also accused of assaulting another force support worker Siobhan Burns.

Tomlin is claimed to have struggled violently with her and seized hold of her wrist.

The offences allegedly took place while Tomlin was on bail from a separate matter at Ayr Sheriff Court in January.

Tomlin pled not guilty today from the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A new hearing date was set for August this year by Sheriff Brian Murphy.
