TROON Rotary Club now have a new president as they pledge hundreds of pounds to those struggling through lockdown.

George Watson will take over the role after the club after President Lance Moffat stepped down during a meeting on Zoom, after a very successful year of fundraising.

Despite lockdown the club have continued to provide vital support to causes in Troon.

Last month they agreed to pledge £200 to Troon Foodbank from their community support fund.

In April, Troon Rotarians helped children and adults learn sign language in Ayrshire by donating £200 to a teacher Ms Pamela McMillan.
