Crews tackle huge garage fire on Ayr street
A HUGE fire within a garage on a residential street was tackled by crews today in Ayr.
Smoke could be seen for miles as three fire engines attended to tackle the blaze on Westwood Avenue, Dalmilling.
No one was injured as the fire took hold of a garage this afternoon.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted 4.44pm to reports of a fire involving an external garage building at a property on Westwood Avenue, Ayr.
"Three appliances were mobilised to the scene, where crews extinguished the fire.
"There are no reported casualties.
"Crews remain on scene."
