POLICE across the country have been working hard through the coronavirus pandemic.

Cops have been patrolling all over Ayrshire to ensure that the public are adhering to the Scottish Government’s lockdown guidance.

While people are allowed to exercise outdoors as much as they like, while observing social distancing rules, there are still bans in place on public gatherings in areas such as parks.

However, this is due to change on Thursday, May 28 as the country enters Phase 1 of the COVId-10 route map.

But last week, South Ayrshire Police shared some glorious snaps of their officers out on patrol near Maybole.

Chief Inspector Anderson and Inspector McColl took to the rural areas of the region and paid a visit to Blairquhan Castle, Straiton.

A South Ayrshire spokesperson took to social media: “Chief Insp Anderson & Insp McColl are out on patrol in rural South Ayrshire and visited Blairquhan Castle near Straiton.

“A lovely location on a bright sunny day and property check complete.”
