A PRESTWICK Beaver has been busy during lockdown earning extra badges.

Sandy Maitland, seven, of the 14th Ayrshire Beaver Scout Group in the South Ayrshire town has been missing all his pals during the coronavirus lockdown.

But the youngster has been busy and getting creative from home. And he blogged about his experience for others to read and enjoy.

Activities include building a giant race track and a raft from recycled materials. And he achieved his dream of a third row of badges.

Sandy said: “It’s nice to look at my badges and remember the work I put into them. It’s been a lot of fun.”
