TWO men have been arrested after a drug bust in Troon.
Police exectued a warrant to search an address at Clegg Garden on Thursday, May 21 and recovered a quantity of what is believed to be Class A and Class B drugs.
A 22-year-old and another male aged 24 were arrested at the property for alleged possession and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
Both men will appear at court on a later date.
Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander at South Ayrshire said “This is the fourth drugs recovery in South Ayrshire this week where the amounts seized and the circumstances in which the drugs were found allowed us to charge individuals with alleged supply offences.”
“All of these police operations demonstrate our commitment to disrupt those who engage in drug dealing activity. Those who choose to do so should be mindful that our enquiries in relation to such activities will continue every week and we will act on information received.”
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and drug dealers don’t care about the devastation their actions cause. Local officers, with the support of CID colleagues, will continue to focus on drug dealers as I am aware of the concern their activities cause in the community”.
“Anyone with information on drug dealing should contact Police Scotland on 101 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111”.
