The Scottish SPCA have issued an appeal to find the owner of a stray horse that has found its way into a field in Mauchline.
The animal welfare charity was made aware of the blue-eyed, black and white-patched horse by the landowner when they discovered it in their field on the morning of Friday, May 15.
Scottish SPCA inspector McIntyre said: “The horse was found in a field that was already home to two donkeys.
“The owner was very surprised to find they had another equine in their field.
“The horse is a colt and still quite young. He’s maybe only just over a year old.
“We’d like to find out who the horse belongs to. If anyone recognises him, please contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
Is this your horse or do you recognise it at all? If you have any information please do contact the SSPCA so that we can get this horse home.
The SSPCA are Scotland’s animal welfare charity, not to be confused with the English version RSPCA.
