Mauchline was boosted to the tune of £10,000 in 2016.

A local steering group, made up of members of the Mauchline Community Action Plan Group worked with Vibrant Communities to take a lead locally.

There were 21 projects that applied for funding and were invited to present their ideas in three minute slots at a public event held in Mauchline Community Centre.

The gathered audience then voted on who should receive funding.

Among the successful groups were the Beechgrove Park Regeneration, Mauchline Bowling Club, Mauchline Community Association Summer Club, Mauchline Local Directory and Alleringersleben v Mauchline.

Councillor Eoghann MacColl, Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities said: “Vibrant Communities are running this pilot after receiving £10,000 from the Scottish Government for Participatory Budgeting, which was match-funded by East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.”
