RESIDENTS in Netherthird received a kind donation of soup and a cup cake thanks to a Cumnock education centre.

The Riverside Adult Education Centre ensured that every resident on James Young Avenue, many of whom are elderly had a delivery of food.

It was part of the Netherthird Community response to the coronavirus lockdown with the education centre offering to help to cheer up residents who are having to stay at home.

The soup and cup cakes were delivered on Thursday, April 30.

It is hoped that more senior citizens living in the community will be able to be benefit from the food drop-offs in the coming weeks.
