An Ardrossan man accused of threatening to pass coronavirus to shop staff through coughing has been held in custody.
Bryan Hogg, 46, faced four charges after allegedly claiming he had the deadly virus and threats of spitting at staff in a Saltcoats shop.
He faced one charge of assault, two charges of threatening or abusive behaviour likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear and alarm and a further charge of breaching court conditions.
Hogg, of Ardrossan, entered no plea to the charges when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, March 30.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He will return to court at a later date.
