A TROON charity shop will hold a sale of outfits for weddings to raise money for the terminally ill.

New and preloved garments that suit the whole wedding party including Kilts, hats, fascinators and wedding guest outfits are going on sale at the Marie Curie shop.

The special two-day only wedding event takes place at the shop on Troon’s Portland Street, on Saturday and Sunday (March 21 and 22 March 2020) between 10am-4pm.

Shop manager Jan Collins shared: “We expect to be extremely busy with bargain-hunting brides and savy shoppers keen to snap up exceptional quality bargains. Wedding costs are soaring so picking up a great value outfit is a huge draw, but many of us are also shopping in a more environmentally friendly way too.

“Every pound spent in a Marie Curie shop helps families living with terminal illness in Scotland make the most of the time they have left.”

In South Ayrshire last year Marie Curie Nurses made over 120 visits to care for terminally ill people in their own homes.

While best known as caring for people with terminal cancer, Marie Curie supports people living with all terminal conditions.
