ARDROSSAN Academy pupils took part in a tasty challenge this week as they got to design their own pizza fit for Domino’s.

Youngsters took part in the design and make task.

The pupils were given the brief to make a pizza, cost their dish, design a pizza box with statutory government labelling and pitch their marketing ideas in a powerpoint.

Four teams made it through to Academy’s in-house final judged by David, the manager from Domino’s Stevenston and his assistant Claire who also helped.

The award winning pizza was the Smorezonie, a luxurious desert filled with white chocolate, milk chocolate, strawberries and marshmallows.

Next month they will make their own pizzas in Domino’s kitchen, where they will enhance their learning, and perhaps be inspired to become budding chefs.
