A MEMORIAL plaque has been unveiled in Marr College to commemorate Charles Kerr Marr who bequeathed his wealth to the educational future of Troon residents and financed the first Marr College building.
The plaque, purchased by the Marr Trust, is placed on the walls of the original building. S6 Captains Olivia Burnham, Rosie Tudor, Calum Inglis and Logan Cotter described CK Marr’s life to invited guests and S1 students before the plaque was formally unveiled by Councillor Phil Saxton, Mr Frances McCrossan, Chairman of the CK Marr Educational Trust, Nan McFarlane and S3 Captains Eilidh Baird, Beth MacNair, Callum Penman and Andrew Pattison.
