A SOUTH Ayrshire Council run fitness scheme has proved a huge hit among locals.

The council’s ‘Weigh to go’ programme has just finished its latest 12-week block at the Citadel in Ayr.

Classes involve 45 minutes of nutritional advice followed by 45 minutes of exercise.

It has been running for some time now after being designed by NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

But Sport and Leisure South Ayrshire were delighted to reveal some of the positive feedback their fitness camp received.

One said: “Instructors and class mates put you at ease. Very supportive.”

Another said: “Great variety of exercise which is suitable for all levels.”

A third added: “Great atmosphere.”

And fourth said: “Really good classes for keeping motivated and fit. Instructors lovely and cheerful.”

Classes cost £3.60 per session and the next block of participants got started on Monday at the beginning of this week.
