TROON Coastal Rowing Club were delighted to welcome Ewan and Jamie Maclean - two thirds of the all sibling Scottish, crew who recently broke three world records in rowing across the Atlantic in only 35 days, writes Stewart McConnell.

This was as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

Known as Broar, Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan are the fastest, youngest and very first all-brother team to make the 3000 mile challenge from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

Borrowing one of Troon Coastal Rowing Clubs skiffs for a media interview at Troon Yacht Haven, it was their first time back on the water since completing their record breaking row.

Thanks to the hospitality of Troon Yacht Haven, Troon Coastal Rowing Club can row in almost all weathers throughout the year.

Rowing sessions are held at Troon Yacht Haven slipway every Wednesday and Saturday at 10am and there is also a 2pm session on Sunday.

Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed,.

The club provides pre rowing training and all necessary safety equipment.
