A MAN repeatedly raped a woman during a 15-year campaign of terror.
Stephen Reed of Maybole has now been locked up after he was convicted at the High Court in Glasgow.
He was today sentenced to 10 years having been found guilty of a total of 11 charges spanning between 2000 and 2015.
These included the multiple rape of one woman and the indecent assault of another.
The 54 year-old was also guilty of physical attacks on a third woman as well as a boy and girl.
The offences occurred at different locations in Ayrshire including Girvan and Prestwick.
A charge that he stole the ashes belonging to a late relative of one of the women was withdrawn by prosecutors.
Reed, had denied the crimes.
But, prosecutor Shanti Maguire said he was a man described as “sexually violent” and “manipulative”.
A trial heard the rape victim pleaded with her attacker.
As he pounced, she told him: “ I am not ready for this”.
Miss Maguire: “He was well aware that she did not want to.”
The court was told Reed later acted as if “he had done nothing wrong”.
