DOONFOOT primary celebrated becoming a ‘Rights Respecting School’ after gaining the official accreditation from children’s charity UNICEF.
The school impressed with strong knowledge of their rights, and prioritising inclusion.
Doonfoot’s RRS committee were commended for showing leadership and putting forward ideas.
Headteacher Caroline Connell commented: “We have a brilliant range of activities and clubs on offer.
“Pupil voice is key and examples evident. Inclusion is clearly a priority and our children speak passionately about everyone being different.
“Well done to Miss Anderson, the whole school and her team who worked hard. “
