GLOWING tributes were paid to the Bard when Ayr Grammar Primary hosted a successful Burns Supper.

The annual event was organised by the P7 class and held in the Brig o’Doon House Hotel.

They had the traditional Address to the Haggis, which was welcomed into the room by piper Bryce McCulloch.

There were also some excellent Burns poetry recitals along with a varied selection of songs from soloists and groups.

So much preparation had gone into the event and as always everything went really well on the night.

Teacher Ainslie McCulloch said: “The event went really well and it was attended by parents.

“Thanks to everyone for coming along.”
