AYR’s Gaiety Theatre are surging forward with ambition to produce ‘The Best Pantomime In Scotland’ after the giant success of their recent production of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2019.

Production meetings and scriptwriting for the 2020 panto are already well underway as the Gaiety’s creative team gets into their next production Sleeping Beauty which opens in less than 10 months. And to celebrate the launch of their next venture, the Gaiety are also offering customers a chance to win a delicious meal for two at their Stage Door Restaurant with all panto tickets purchased before the end of February.

The recent Gaiety pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk was enjoyed by upwards of 25,000 people, with more school performances than previous years and an increase in audio described, BSL-signed performances and two relaxed performances. Fresh from this success, writing duo Fraser Boyle and Ken Alexander will now spin theatregoers into the magical tale of Sleeping Beauty.

The Gaiety’s five star creative team once again bring a supercharged seasonal show that’s full to bursting with quality, sizzling choreography, beautiful costumes, glittering scenery, energy and wonderfully witty jokes.

The Kingdom of Ayrshire and Arran has been cursed by he wicked Carabosse, Bride of Maybole, who wants the throne all to herself. She’s got a pet dragon waiting in the wings to back her claim up.
