A-43-year-old man has been arrested and charged for allegedly breaking into homes across Ayr over the festive season.
Police received a number of reports from concerned residents between December last year into January 2020.
Detectives carried out an investigation to trace the man.
Cheif Inspector Biran Anderson, Local Area Commander for South Ayrshire said: “A dedicated team was attached to this enquiry leading to the man's arrest”.
“A full report has now been sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today”.
