AYRSHIRE farmers were welcomed to Ayr’s Port last week to see the role it plays in supporting the local agricultural industry.
The Ayrshire meeting was held at the port and saw the attendance of National President of the NFU Scotland, Andrew McCornick, as well as other businesses from the Scottish farming sector.This was followed by a port tour during which, guests were able to observe the scale and efficiency of port operations and learn more about businesses operating from the harbour, as well as meet port customers. Cristine Cuthbertson, Ayrshire Regional Manager, said: “It was very interesting to see and understand the scale of operations at the port of Ayr.”
