TWO men have been arrested and charged in connection with an incident in Girvan which left two others seriously injured. 

Police rushed to Dalrymple Street on Sunday afternoon following reports of a disturbance.

Male victims aged 46 and 22-years-old were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, they were later released.

Two 21-year-old men are due to appear in Ayr Sheriff Court today, after they were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called to a disturbance at an address in Dalrymple Street, Girvan at around 1.10pm on Sunday, January 19.”

"Two men aged 46 and 22-years-old were taken to hospital with serious injuries and released following treatment.

"Two men both aged 21 have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear to Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, 20 January.”
