A THIRTEEN-year-old girl had her earings ripped out by a woman in Ayr during a vicious assault.
Police are investigating the incident after the teenager was attacked by the woman in Ayr Town Centre on Saturday (January 11) night.
The teenager’s furious mum Kayleigh Simpson, posted an appeal to find out who the woman is after a video taken by a taxi driver was shared on Facebook.
According to the mum the teenaged girl was out with friends waiting on food outside a shop in Smith Street, whilst listening to music on their phones.
The woman is said to have approached the group making a comment about their music before the teenager being attacked.
Kayleigh told the Advertiser: “She got quite a fright and I’m glad her friends were there or who knows what that woman could have done.
“I remember thinking she was at it as she had already broken her curfew, but when I seen the video and that her ears were bleeding it was quite a shock.
“They were just waiting on their outside the kebab shop playing music on their phone.”
According to reports another girl had some of her hair pulled out during the incident.
In the video a young toddler can also be seen standing alone whilst the woman enages in the fight.
Police are now looking to contact the person who reported the incident on Saturday, January 11.
It is thought that the woman got on to the X77 bus after the scuffle took place on Smith Street.
A spokesman for South Ayrshire Police told the Advertiser: “Police Scotland have been contacted regarding an incident in Ayr Town Centre on Saturday, January 11 and will be speaking with the reporter to establish the circumstances surrounding it.”
