AN AYR opticians has praised customers for donating more than 80 toys to be given to children who need additional support this Christmas.
The High Street Specsavers branch was collecting the gifts as part of the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.
The appeal delivers the presents to youngsters, up to the age of 15, who would not normally receive gifts o n Christmas morning.
Store director, Linda Fulton, said: “Christmas is a time for giving and we are overwhelmed by the support we’ve had in store this December.
“All of the toys and gifts which our customers have very generously donated will help make Christmas even more special for children who maybe aren’t as fortunate this time of year.
“I’d like to thank everyone who got involved.”
