A PERSON had to be pulled from the water by a lifeboat crew after an emergency response at Troon Harbour.
Crews from Ayr and Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised by police last night.
On arrival the person was confirmed to be in the water near to the entrance of Troon Harbour.
Troon lifeboat arrived on the scene to attend to the person.
The volunteer crew launched Trent class all-weather lifeboat ‘RNLB Jim Moffat’ and were directed by Police and Coastguard towards the casualty.

The person was then safely handed over to Police, Coastguard and Ambulance crews who were waiting at Troon Marina.
