Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Ayr.
The incident happened at around 7.20am today (Sunday, December 29) on Castlehill Road.
A 46-year-old man was assaulted resulting in minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
At the time of the incident a light-coloured, possibly silver, taxi drove past and officers are appealing for the driver of this vehicle to come forward as a witness.
