A LUXURY hotel is raising funds for a local charity that cares for people with additional needs and disabilities.

The Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon will be hosting their Christmas by Candlelight in a bid to help out Hansel.

The night will feature a line up of fantastic music, food and conversation with added spark and splendour for guests who attend.

The money raised will go towards Hansel’s Wilson House Refurbishment Appeal.

It aims to improve facilities at the small group home at Hansel’s Symington home.

The property which accommodates 15 residents, needs modernised with new furniture and paintwork and improvements made to the lay-out of the bath and shower rooms.

Agnes Paton, Hansel’s fundraising and communications manager, said: “The run-up to the festivities can be very busy and Christmas by Candlelight offers guests a chance to sit back and relax with friends over a wonderful meal in the magical surroundings of Lochgreen House.

“It is so beautiful there at this time of year with the amazing decorations and tree and you really can feel the true spirit of Christmas, as guest know that they are also helping improve the lives of the people Hansel supports.”

The evening starts at 7pm with a glass of bubbly and canapes in the surroundings of the newly refurbished Garden Suite, while being entertained by talented duo Burness.

Guests will then enjoy a three course dinner created by the Costley and Costley Master Chefs after which Loudoun Musical Society will put diners in a festive mood with a medley of heart-warming Christmas carols and songs.
