HEATHFIELD Primary Parent Fundraiser Group along with acting head teacher Allan Ward excelled themselves with yet another fabulous community event, writes Stewart McConnell.
Every pupil in the school performed Christmas songs and attended a Winter Wonderland organised by P7 pupils. Parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and the local community enjoyed the children’s voices along with a cup of tea and mince pie. Local crafters provided stalls for people to purchase some Christmas gifts and the bottle stall and raffle were well supported as was the home baking stall. Pupils created crafts as part of a Dragon’s Den style Enterprise project and parents placed orders prior to the event. Prizes will be given for the best marketing campaign, closest to target and most eco friendly produce. Clare Woods from Employability and Skills offer support. The school eco group was delighted reusable cups were used and many parents brought their own.
