SANTA Claus is well on his way across the Troon and surrounding community, bringing Christmas cheer to children of the area.

The annual Santa float is up and running and making its way to a neighbourhood near you.

Troon Round Table are dispatching the bearded one to houses all around the community, dispatching small gifts to the youngsters.

And they hope that people respond with a donation to help their cause.

The Round Table give cheques to the organisations who support them, with some helping play the role of elves on the sleigh, armed with collection buckets.

Santa’s journey began at Loans on Sunday when he switched on the lights in the village hall.

Then later in the evening, he made his way to Dundonald Camp.

Then tonight (Tuesday) the float will be in the Beach Road/Gailes Road area.

North Shore Road and Queens Drive are the venues for tomorrow (Wednesday) while on Thursday, West Logan Drive will be the location.

The sleigh will call in at East Logan Drive on Friday.

Fullarton and Harling Drive are the venues for the float to call in on Sunday, December 8.

South Beach and Bentinck Drive are the stop-off points on Tuesday, December 10.

Santa will roll up in Ottoline Drive and Wilson Avenue the following night.

The Round Table are in the town centre and also the harbour area on Thursday, December 12.

Monkton is the venue for Friday, December 13 and Sunday, December 15 sees a visit to Commonwealth Drive and Princess Gate.

Wednesday, December 18 sees the float swing in to Central Avenue and it heads for South Deveron Road (North Drive end) the following night.

Santa and his team round things off in North Deveron Road (Coxswain Drive end) on Friday, December 20 after the Christmas Odyssey and the bearded one will have a short break before heading for the north pole with presents for the children.

People are being encouraged to support the work of the Round Table by giving donations on the night of their visit.

No matter how small, every little helps further the work of the charitable group.
