A POPULAR annual event has raised thousands for charity.

Hansel’s Ladies Lunches at Lochgreen House Hotel and Spa in Troon has managed to make an incredible £6,900 for the charity.

More than 300 guests attended the events from October 20 to October 24, which included three course lunches and a cookery demonstration from the Costley and Costley Master Chefs.

Chaz and Jamie thrilled the audience with their recipes and tips, delivered with their well renowned humour.

Ladies also enjoyed a fashion show from Belle Boutique of Prestwick, showcasing the latest trends for seasonal dressing and took the opportunity to pick up some Christmas presents from the stalls featuring a range of goodies from woolly hats to driftwood sculptures.

Agnes Paton, Hansel fundraising and communications manager, said: “A huge thanks to everyone who came along to our annual ladies lunches – the money will make a big difference to the lives of people Hansel supports.

“We had an amazing five days packed full of fabulous fashion from Belle Boutique and Interiors, delicious dining and retail therapy.

“We are so grateful to Chaz and Jamie, the Costley and Costley Master Chefs, for taking time out of the kitchen to share their expertise with our guests and I am sure many ladies will be trying out their secret tips at home.

“We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all of our exhibitors this year for supporting the event and bringing along their wonderful gifts, to our models and our fabulous photographer Tamara Campbell.”
