YOUNG Prestatyn artists may be able to help solve a crime.

A painted pebble has been used in an act of 'criminal damage" at a property in Prestatyn on Thursday, November 28.

The trend of painting pebbles and rocks was popular across the North Wales coast among school children last summer, with thousands submitting their creations on social media.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "The victims of the damage do not recognise the very notable painting and writing on the stone and we believe it has been taken from someone else’s garden and taken to the scene of the crime.

"If anyone recognises the stone - if they or their child had painted on it - and knows where it came from we’d be keen to hear from them by contacting 101 quoting the reference number X171857."
