Generous revellers helped raise more than £8,400 for Hansel at the charity’s annual Ball in Brig O’Doon House Hotel in Alloway.

The sell-out event was a huge success this year, attracting more than 120 guests who were treated to a four-course banquet and danced the night away to the music of Waterfront Luxury Event and Party Band.

Guests enjoyed some pre-dinner surprise entertainment from Step 123 dance school who took to the floor to show off their rumba, tango and waltz steps.

Agnes Paton, fundraising and communications manager said: “The ball is always the highlight of the Hansel events calendar and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

“Our LED balloon table-centre-pieces proved very popular with guests who were queuing up to buy them to take home at the end of the evening.

“We are so grateful to all our sponsors and everyone who attended on the night – everyone was up for a party and, as always, guests were very generous in their support.
