People of Ayr fell silent in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in war.
Residents turned out in numbers for the annual Remembrance Sunday service.
Representatives of the council and local schools paid respects on behald of their communities.
They came to pay respects at Dalmilling Church at 10am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial at the junction of Low Road and Whitletts Road at 11am on Sunday, November 10.
There was also a church service at St James’ at 10.50am, with a wreath laying at Tam’s Brig at 11am.
At 12.15pm, wreaths were laid at the Cenotaph in Wellington Square.
