Youngsters from a Cumnock dance school enjoyed huge success at a prestigious competition.

KG*Dance, which holds classes in Cumnock and Catrine, scooped 89 trophies at the recent Aviemore Freestyle Championships.

Kirsty Graham, principle teacher at KG*Dance, said: “Every single kid danced absolutely fantastic from the Friday evening right through to the Sunday evening – from our tiniest competitor who is just four-years-old right up to our biggest girl who is 16.

“But most importantly, whether they won a trophy or not, they all had an amazing weekend full of fun and laughter.

“It was so amazing watching the school over the weekend and seeing our kids, mummies, daddies, nanas, grandpas all having such a fantastic time.

“The reaction from the entire school when we had one of our girls make the Grand Final on Sunday night gave me goosebumps. So many happy memories were made over our weekend together and that for me is what it’s all about.

“I am so unbelievably proud of our entire team. They all put in a crazy amount of hours of intense training all year round and really do deserve these amazing results.

“They have had an absolutely spectacular year in freestyle this year and I am very proud to have a school full of total superstars.”
