AN AYR couple celebrated their Diamond Anniversary last week.
George and Jean Taylor have recently celebrated 60 years together.
The couple first met when George was in the Navy with Jean’s older brother and when the couple first met when he visited the house, it was love at first sight.
They were married at the Waterside Inn, Coalhall and moved in together in Ayr.
Jean worked at Gray’s factory and George worked at the borough on Walker Road.
They have four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
