IT’S a game traditionally played by groups of women of a certain age. However bingo has started to attract a new crowd of young players introduced to the game through club nights such as Bongo’s Bingo which is heading to Bournemouth’s O2 Academy for the first time.

Organisers of the new bingo phenomenon promise a night of “Coco Cops and confetti” with plenty of dancing and laughter.

A spokesman said: “We’re very excited to announce that the Bongo’s brigade will be heading down to the sunny seaside town of Bournemouth.

“So who the hell are we? We bring a dose of chaos to the classic game... with a bit more added to that.”

Bong Bingo is described as “vibrant chaos in the name of modern day bingo”.

While staying true to the original rules of bingo, Bongo’s Bingo combines the traditional game with “an immersive and hilarious live show where rave rounds, dance offs and insane prizes are all part of the fun.”

With music spanning all genres and generations, Bongo’s Bingo prides itself on its inclusivity and the ability to always appeal to a crowd from across the ages. Expect cheesy bangers, rave bangers, dance classics, Irish ballads, pop classics and all the forgotten old skool bangers mixed into one evening.

The award-winning night out has now evolved into an international success, with shows in Australia, Dubai, Ibiza, France and across the UK in many more locations.

* Bongo’s Bingo is at O2 Academy in Boscombe from 6pm to 11.30pm on Wednesday, November 27. For more information, see bongosbingo.co.uk.
