FRIDAY night was fireworks night at Millbrae.

Multiple league and cup winners, Ayr Rugby Football Club hosted their biggest Fireworks night yet.

A bumper crowd packed into the celebrated ground for a magical display, with a wide range of colourful pyrotechnics illuminating the night sky.

And people of all ages turned out for the firework festivities which help kick off the weekend in some style.

Despite a threatening wind and harsh downpour during the day, the skies cleared just in time for opening.

A mild and calm night provided the perfect backdrop for the annual event.

The entertainment started early-on with a host of fairground rides and food and drink trucks were also open from six with a wide range of snacks on offer.

Then at 6.30pm, the bonfire was lit before the main event at 7.30pm.

Following what was an excellent display people carried on the fun by kicking off their shoes for an evening of excellent musical entertainment.

Ayr RFC would like to thank all of those who came down for a wonderful night of entertainment and organisers are hoping to see everyone again next year.

Thanks also goes to the volunteers and sponsors who helped make the event such a riproaring success.

The Millbrae event is now the main one town and once again Ayr RFC were excellent hosts.
