A SERVICE operated by South Ayrshire Council has won a prestigious national award for its work in helping people get themselves back on their feet.

South Ayrshire Life, which is run by Voluntary Action South Ayrshire (VASA), scooped Scotland’s Self-Management Resource of the Year 2019 prize at a ceremony at the Scottish Parliament on October 8.

The award scheme, organised by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland, recognises organisations which are leading the way in helping people manage their own health and wellbeing and putting them in control when it comes to improving their lives.
