POLICE are investigating the death of a young Ayr mum who was found dead in her home.
The body of 29-year-old Kirsty Robertson was discovered in Fulshaw Place on Sunday morning.
A post mortem was carried out but the death is being treated as "unexplained".
Police have taped off the street and have been speaking with neighbours.
Detectives have now carried out an investigation with further forensic tests taking place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Advertiser: “Around 11.30am on Sunday, October 20, a 29-year-old woman was found dead within a house at Fulshaw Place, Ayr.
"Following a post mortem examination, the death is still being treated as unexplained and further forensic tests are being carried out."
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
