THE statutory public consultation into proposals for a new education and community campus in the Three Towns started this week.

The consultation period runs until Friday, December 6 and views are now sought from all stakeholders, including parents/carers on the council’s proposal.

The proposals to create a new campus, situated on the North Shore site, comprise of:

· the closure and relocation of Ardrossan Academy

· the closure and relocation of Winton Primary School and Early Years Class

Copies of this document are also available from Education (Communities Directorate), 5th Floor, Cunninghame House, Irvine.

The document can also be viewed in all of the above schools, local public libraries, local community centres and health centres within Ardrossan Academy catchment area, and on the North Ayrshire Council website.

Meetings to discuss the proposals will be held at Ardrossan Academy on Thursday, November 7 at 2pm, 4pm and 7pm.

The second will be in the Castlecraigs Lounge within the Civic Centre on Wednesday, November 13 at 2pm and 4pm.

There will be another meeting at Winton Primary, also on November 13, from 7pm.
