Ayr United walking footballers crowned champions of Scotland
Ayr United’s veteran walking footballers have been crowned champions of Scotland.
The team recently won the inaugural Walking Football Scotland National Over-65s League at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.
United went into the last round of games of the 18-match season top of the table and knowing two wins out of two would seal the title.
However, a draw in their first match followed by a 3-1 win over Glasgow Sport West was enough to see the Ayr side claim victory.
