A FASCINATING insight into life at secondary school was given to pupils in four primaries earlier this month.

Queen Margaret Academy hosted a Maths Transition Day which helped youngsters get a feel of the next step in their education.

Taking part were pupils from P5 and P6 representing feeder primary schools: St Ninian’s, St John’s, St Patrick’s, Sacred Heart and St Cuthbert’s from Maybole.

Jamie Winning, Principal Teacher of St John’s said: “This transition is a great idea as it allows pupils to work with others at secondary and also the teachers they will before primary seven which is traditionally when they go and gets them used to Queen Margaret as well.

“They were involved in problem solving and the day went really well.”
