Man found dead next to railway tracks in Girvan
A MAN was found dead near a railway line in Girvan this morning.
British Transport police attended an incident after it as reported that a casualty was close to the tracks.
Parademics also responded but a 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for BTP told the Advertiser: "Officers were called to the area in Girvan shortly after 3am this morning following reports of a casualty close to the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however a 36-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be made to the Procurator Fiscal."
