A COMMUNITY campaigner is calling for the return of a relic which has been smuggled out of a public building.
A life-sized statue of Biblical hero Goliath used to situated in Troon’s Walker Hall.
However there’s no trace of the treasure.
Troon Community Councillor Frances Carson said: “Where is the statue? It was down the stairs.
“I was told that someone in the council decided in their infinite wisdom they were going to gift it to someone without asking.
“I think we should now find out where Goliath is.
No one has any business to give away things which don’t belong to them.
The Community Councillor said: “How could you take something out like that out of the building and not be noticed?”
