LOCAL causes in South Ayrshire could benefit from a share of a £60,000 bursary from Buzzworks Holdings.

The family- run restaurant chain, who occupy five eateries in South Ayrshire, including Ayr, Troon and Prestwick, is inviting charities and community groups to apply for the funding which will help make a positive impact in the area.

The bursary scheme is open to Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and West Lothian where the company operates.

Local charities, schools, community projects, sports groups and good causes can benefit from the money by applying on their local venue’s website where it will be reviewed.

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks MD, said: “Buzzworks Community Bursary provides an opportunity for charities and community groups of all sizes to apply for a share of funds and we’re looking forward to hearing from applicants on how we can help create a positive impact for many.

“This is something that’s always been important to us as a business and why we formally introduced Buzzworks Giving Back in 2014 – since then, we have donated more than £100,000 to local good causes. The opening of our new community bursary is an extension of that allowing us to offer support to more local groups, schools, individuals, community projects and good causes than ever before.”

You can apply for a share of the community bursary by filling out an online application form on your local Buzzworks venue website, where you can also view terms and conditions.

The Buzzworks Community Bursary will be reviewed on a quarterly basis, and the closing deadline for the first tranche of entries is on October 31.
