Caledonia Primary School was delighted to receive its 7th Eco-Schools Green Flag Award last week.

An Assessor for Eco-Schools came down to check on the schools progress and was said to be ‘very excited’ about the work being done at Caledonia Primary, praising both staff and children for their hard work.

The school has been involved in the Eco-Schools programme since 2005, developing its eco status and bringing awareness to pupils and the community.

The programme focuses on a seven-step plan looking at a range of topics from biodiversity, healthy eating, energy and waste.

This session, the main focus was on Transport, Global Citizenship and Litter.
