RESIDENTS in South Ayrshire have been urged to prepare for the September weekend as GP practices and a number of pharmacies are set to close.
The bank holiday will see closures over four days between Friday, 21 and Monday 23.
Roisin Kavanagh, Interim Director of Pharmacy, said: “You can do a number of things to make sure you are prepared to deal with common illnesses. Have a sufficient supply of medicines like paracetamol, sore throat and cough remedies, as these will help to relieve the symptoms of common ailments.
The following pharmacies will be closed this Friday.
Ayr: Rowland Pharmacy,Ogg & Co, Alloway Pharmacy,Coylton Pharmacy,Mossblown Chemist, Mauchline Road, Mossblown, Symington Pharmacy, Dundonald Pharmacy, The majority of pharmacies will be closed on Monday, however some will remain open.
Ayr: Boots,Morrisons Pharmacy, Seafield Pharmacy, Girvan: Boots Prestwick: Boots, Troon: Boots, Stevenson Chemist
